RESPONSIBILITY: Worked the past 3 consecutive Shark Weeks as the Digital team’s sole Graphic Designer. Created the official schedule, promotional materials for all social platforms, and many other graphic assets such as AR filters, memes, and official Shark Week merchandise. Developed and produced 3 season long mini-show featuring Shark Week highlights.
Shark Week is an annual, week-long TV programming block created by the Discovery Channel, which features shark-based programming. Shark Week was originally devoted to conservation efforts and correcting misconceptions about sharks.
During 2019, 2020, and 2021 Shark Week, I had the task to co-produce an 8 episode series called The Daily Bite. My co-producer and I were tasked with creating this videos from start to finish, which included editing, writing, shooting, and animating 5 minute episodes that would be supplementary to the Shark Week shows airing. My primary task throughout this project was to storyboard and create animations to visualize that video’s topics. I also created all branded elements and the transitory elements for the videos, as well as the opening and end animations.
